Expanders

Create space for growing smiles by gently widening the upper jaw to improve alignment and bite development.

How It Works

For young patients under the age of 15, we can predictably expand the upper arch in the presence of a skeletal or dental crossbite. Expansion allows for early correction of malocclusion, and may help to avoid jaw surgical correction in the future. An expanded palate allows for greater tongue space, improved airway for breathing, and speech benefits in severe cases.
